Skies Clear Up, Temperatures Warm Up!

Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

TONIGHT:
The heaviest of the rain moves out of NW Wisconsin by the early morning hours Tuesday. Skies clear up from west to east from Duluth to Ironwood. Temperatures under the clear sky are in the upper 20s for northern locations around Ely, Iron Range, and International Falls. Expect some upper 20s to mid 30s to the south. Winds are light and out of the northwest at 4-8mph.

TUESDAY:
A small ridge in the jet stream builds over the region on Tuesday. This gives us sunny skies and helps warm us up too. Expect upper 50s to low 60s with lakeside locations in the upper 40s. Winds are out of the east at 3-6mph in Duluth, light and variable in the Iron Range/Borderland, and out of the NW at 4-8mph in NW Wisconsin.

WEDNESDAY:
A shortwave in the jet swings over the area increasing the temperatures and cloud coverage. It causes enough uplift to warrant a 30% chance of showers. Morning lows are in the low 40s and highs are in the mid to upper 60s.

THURSDAY:
A weak cold front approaches the area. This will bring partly cloudy skies and a small 20% chance of a shower or two. Morning lows are in the mid 40s and highs are in the mid 60s.

FRIDAY:
A high pressure system over Missouri will dry us up on Friday. Skies are mostly sunny with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY:
Low pressure moves east into the Iowa/Minnesota area on Saturday. This increases cloud coverage and our chance of rain to 50%. Temperatures are much cooler with a strong east wind at 10-20mph. Lows are in the upper 30s and highs will be around 42, with mid to upper 30s lakeside.
