TODAY/TONIGHT: Temperatures will be much colder today as breezy winds out of the northwest usher in cold Canadian air. Highs will be held in the mid-30’s across the region with winds out of the NW 10-20mph. That wind will make it feel like its in the 20’s. Bundle up! There will be some lingering light snow showers across the International Border and Arrowhead region early this morning, otherwise mostly cloudy skies. Gogebic County may see lingering lake effect snow into the afternoon.
Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies and temperature falling back into the upper 20’s and lower 30’s. Winds will remain northwest, but much calmer between 5-10mph.
FRIDAY: Friday we will see a bit more sunshine as some weak high pressure rolls in. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s with northwest winds 5-10mph. Not a very warm day, but looking forward to some sunshine.
WEEKEND: An Alberta Clipper will move in on Saturday, first brining in some warmth and clouds, then some precip. Highs will be in the upper 40’s and some lower 50’s with winds out of the SSW 5-15mph. Chance of rain will be 30%.
Sunday we will also see a 30% chance of some scattered showers, but there could be some rain/snow mix at times. Highs will be in the upper 30’s with mostly cloudy skies.
NEXT WEEK: We will start out next week chilly, but some sunshine on Monday with high pressure passing by. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and lower 40’s Monday and Tuesday. But by Wednesday and into the end of next week we will have a shot of some 50’s and maybe some 60’s!
