You can help rescue Christmas for people in need!
With the season of giving upon us, KBJR 6 and the Salvation Army are asking for your help making the holidays bright for people struggling in our community!
The Salvation Army is seeing a big increase in need this year, due to the pandemic and economic downturn.
Last year, the Salvation Army’s Northern Division served 325,000 people. This year, more than 825,000 people could need help paying their bills, putting food on the table, finding shelter, and putting gifts under the tree.
In Duluth alone, that number could be more than 8,000, but you can help make a difference by donating money or time as part of KBJR 6’s Operation Rescue Christmas campaign.
It all culminates during Distribution Week, when people in need can pick up Christmas dinner kits and gifts for their family.
