Northwestern pulls away for opening week win over Spooner

SPOONER, Wis. – After conceding a turnover-touchdown drive off to open the game, Northwestern pulled out a 28-14 win over Spooner to open their season.

The Tigers held a narrow 7-6 lead at halftime, before scoring three second half touchdowns to pull away. Senior kicker Isaac Nichols was an impressive 4/4 on extra points.

Next up for Northwestern, they host Hayward on Friday, August 30 at 7:00p.m. Spooner will head south to take on Cameron.
