Bulldogs in the NHL: Pionk traded to Jets, Miska to become free agent

DULUTH, MN- A busy day in the NHL as a few Bulldogs will be playing for different teams next season.

After spending the last two seasons with the Arizona Coyotes, Goalie Hunter Miska will become a unrestricted free agent after Arizona declined his tender.

Miska played in one game for the Coyotes in the 2018 season.

Jake Jensen of the Athletic was the first to report the move on Miska.

Hermantown native Neal Pionk is also on the move, after New York traded the defenseman to the Winnipeg Jets.

Pionk tallied 26 points for the Rangers in 73 games just this past season.
