St. Paul, MN- 2nd and final day of the state track and field meet at Hamline university in St. Paul.

Duluth Denfeld’s Blake Eaton certainly racked up the hardware this weekend. On Friday, Eaton set a new class AA record for the 200 meter wheelchair race, racing five seconds faster than his previous PR.

Today, Eaton took home the gold in the boy’s 100 meter race and the 800.

“First time being here. This was a whole new experience for me. I’ve done track since the sixth grade but first time at Denfeld. I’ve never gone up against someone like I just did in the 100. Practiced every day after school March-ish/May till just last week,” said Eaton.

Other events on the day in class AA, Cloquet’s 4×800 boy’s relay team finished 14th overall.

Duluth Denfeld’s Wryott Gerson finished 9th overall in the boy’s 400 meter final.
