Prep baseball: Duluth Denfeld, Duluth Marshall, and South Ridge advance to state

DULUTH, MN – The MSHSL section seven baseball championships were decided on Thursday afternoon.

In section 7AAA, Duluth Denfeld outlasted Grand Rapids in a two game battle at Wade Stadium, that ended with a 10-3 win. The Hunters advance to their first state tournament since 1954.

In section 7AA, Duluth Marshall topped Esko 9-0 to advance to their third consecutive state tournament.

In section 7A, Ely held off South Ridge to force a late night game two at Wade Stadium. The Panthers responded with an 9-0 win to advance to advance to their second consecutive state tournament.
