DULUTH, MN – Home games have been hard to come by for the UMD softball team. So on Monday, the team hosted MSU-Mankato at Saints Field on the campus of St. Scholastica.

The Bulldogs would take game one 4-0. But, the Mavericks would come back and take game two 5-4.

UMD will host Bemidji State for a doubleheader on Tuesday. First pitch in game one is set for noon.

In division three, the UW-Superior softball team improved to 8-0 in UMAC conference play on Monday after sweeping Martin Luther.

The games were originally scheduled to be played at Martin Luther, but due to poor field conditions, they were moved up north to Superior.

The Yellowjackets swept the matchup handily, 10-0 in game one and 12-1 in game two.

Up next, UW-Superior will host Northland College in a doubleheader on Tuesday. First pitch is at 3:30pm.
