UMD wins second consecutive national championship, 3-0 over UMass

BUFFALO, NY – The University of Minnesota Duluth won 3-0 over UMass in the NCAA men’s hockey national championship on Saturday.

The Bulldogs become the third team to win back to back national titles in NCAA history, and first since Denver in 2004-05. Minnesota-Duluth now holds three NCAA National Championships (2011, 2018, 2019)

Captain Parker Mackay put UMD on the board first with a power play goal in the first period. Mackay flipped one in on the right side with the assist from Mikey Anderson and Riley Tufte to make it 1-0 Bulldogs.

Mikey Anderson added another goal in the second period to give UMD a 2-0 lead.

Jackson Cates sealed things up late in the third to make it a 3-0 game.
