Duluth East, Donovan outlast Andover in 7AA final to advance to state

DULUTH, MN – The Duluth East boys hockey team won 4-3 in overtime over top seeded Andover in the section 7AA champioinship game at AMSOIL Arena on Thursday night.

Ryder Donovan scored the game winning goal early in overtime, just nine seconds into a power play. It’s the Greyhounds second consecutive 7AA final win over Andover, and second consecutive trip to state.

The MSHSL boys state hockey tournament bracket will be released on Saturday morning.
