UMD’s Meyer & CSS’s Newman earn conference player of the week honors

DULUTH, MN – Brandon Meyer of the University of Minnesota Duluth men’s basketball team and Brandon Newman of the College of St. Scholastica have earned player of the week honors from their respective conferences.

Meyer earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference player of the week scoring 31 points for a double-double in UMD’s win over 13th ranked St. Cloud State.

Newman was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference player of the week after scoring 16 points and grabbing eight rebound in the Saints win over Concordia-Moorhead.
