#3 UMD to renew rivalry with North Dakota

DULUTH,MN – This weekend, #3 UMD will head over to North Dakota. This will be the second time this season the NCHC rivals will face-off.

The last time the two met was back in November where the Bulldogs split the series. Head coach Scott Sandelin says a lot changed since then.

“They’re a better team than what their record is for sure. I think they had a lot of injuries early in the year too which probably led to some inconsistencies but they’ve been much better in the second half. Better goaltending and they’re always tough in their own building. We’ve got to stay disciplined, the last time we played them we took seven penalties and we didn’t help our cause trying to get back in the game. So we’ve got to make sure we’re playing the game the right way but we’re not taking seven, eight, nine ten penalties.” said Sandelin.

UMD will face North Dakota on Friday at 7:37 P.M.
