UMD Men’s Hockey is back at full strength, Mikey Anderson talks WJC experience

DULUTH,MN – Three UMD players and Head Coach Scott Sandelin are back from the World Junior Championship. Team USA took home the Silver medal. Mikey Anderson, Dylan Samberg and Noah Cates expressed how much a positive experience the tournament was and what they’ve learned,

“Playing with and against some of the best players from our country and from other countries, it’s definitely a very fun experience and getting to know some of those guys off the ice it was a once in a lifetime deal. Obviously our goal was to get a gold medal but it’s still pretty fresh and it stings when you think about what we got but when we look back a week from now now it’s starting to hit me a little more of how big of a deal it was to bring home a silver medal and it’s the fourth year that USA hockey has gotten a medal at that tournament and we take a lot of pride in that.” said Anderson.
