SUPERIOR,WI – UW-Superior is heading to their 2nd straight NCAA tournament. The Yellowjackets (18-2-1, 11-0-1) are on a 14 game win streak. UWS will face Augsburg on Saturday at 1:30 p.m

On Tuesday, a number of their players earned UMAC honors. Sophomore AJ Olson earns Defensive Player of the Year. Freshman Blake Perry earned Rookie of the Year. Head coach Joe Mooney claimed his first UMAC coach of the year. The team says this has been an exciting season.

“You know none of our guys wanted to be done and they proved that on Saturday night, I thought they played a tremendous game, I thought the preparation going into the game was really good. I think a lot of our guys who were in the tournament last year felt like we had some unfinished business to get back there so, I think it is a big relief for these guys to get there and a lot of excitement and seeing the draw, coming out yesterday, I think there’s a lot of excitement going into the tourney.” said coach Mooney.
