DULUTH,MN – The Duluth Huskies held its first practice Monday afternoon. It’s their first and only practice before Tuesday’s game.
The 2018 Northwoods League – North Division Champions return only four players from that roster. Most of which are made up of pitchers. The team says they spent the day working on team chemistry and learning about one another.
“It makes you feel like your a freshman in college again. You’re meeting a bunch of new guys. It’s cool because baseball is a very small world. I know a lot of these guys have played with guys I know and vice versa. Good group of guys, they’re all funny.” said Huskies pitcher Jake McDonald
“Well today, everyone getting to know each other, a lot of locker room talk. We will get to know each other on the bus rides, we will get to do a lot of those this summer. But today just playing catch, going through the motions, getting ready for tomorrow.” said Huskies pitcher Logan VanWey
Duluth will open up the season when the team faces Thunder Bay on Tuesday at 5:05 p.m.
