Duluth Police’s newest K9 graduates from training academy

ST. PAUL, MN–Duluth Police’s first female K9 officer graduated from the St. Paul K9 Academy Thursday.

With her diploma in paw, K9 Luna can now officially join forces with Duluth Police Officer Aaron Haller starting June 3.

Haller’s previous K9 partner, Haas, died during an officer-involved shooting in Duluth in January.

During her graduation ceremony, Luna demonstrated the skills she learned during the 13-week training program, including agility and suspect apprehension.

Luna, the brindle colored Dutch Shepherd, will make her public debut at Operation K9 event on Thursday, June 13.
