DULUTH, MN– April is child abuse awareness month and a center in Duluth is raising money to do just that.
First Witness Child Advocacy Center hosted its 16th annual Spring Splash. It’s a community awareness and fundraising event held at Clyde Iron Works.
The event draws in hundreds of community members who show support towards the services the center provides for the region.
The programs at the center focus on helping child abuse victims and their families.
Executive Director at the First Witness Child Advocacy Center, Tracie Clanaugh says, “Our staff works hard. They hear stories from children every day, and they work with our multi-disciplinary team every day. And so to have the opportunity to have our community to come and support us means a lot”
All proceeds raised go towards programs, training, and outreach at the Child Advocacy Center.
