DULUTH, MN– Burglary, criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, and false imprisonment charges have been filed against an 18-year-old who was allegedly one of three people who broke into a Lincoln Park home Wednesday morning.

According to court documents, Chris Coleman, 18, is facing nine charges and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. As of Friday afternoon, the St. Louis County Jail said Coleman is not in their custody.

While court documents indicate three people were allegedly involved, Duluth Police did not comment on whether they are still searching for more suspects. They added that the investigation is still active.

In the criminal complaint, authorities responded to a report of a “home invasion” on the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue around 5:18 a.m. Wednesday.

Five people were home at the time, including two adults and three children under the age of 17.

According to court documents, Coleman and the two other men entered the home, woke up some of the residents, physically assaulted them, and demanded drugs and money.

The men were given enough marijuana for one blunt before they started rummaging through the house while some of the family members sat on the couch at gunpoint.

During the incident, one juvenile was allegedly sexually assaulted by Coleman and another man.

Court records show the three men spent an hour inside the home, leaving with phones, a wallet, and a TV.

Even though the men were wearing masks, one of the victims recognized Coleman as an acquaintance. They later identified him in the Duluth Police Department’s photo lineup.

Authorities are actively searching for Coleman. He’s is described as a 5″7′ black man, weighing around 150 pounds, with brown eyes and short black hair.

If you have information regarding the incident, you’re asked to call the Duluth Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit at 218-730-5050.

Coleman had recently been released from the St. Louis County Jail on Tuesday, where he was booked on Monday on two misdemeanor charges, including giving a false name to police and obstructing the legal process.
