Duluth ceremony honors POWs and soldiers MIA

Duluth, MN — The Northland Vietnam Veterans Association honored Prisoners of War and those Missing In Action at a ceremony Friday.

National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed across the country on the third Friday of September each year.

It was created to commemorate the sacrifices and service of those who were prisoners of war, as well as those who are missing in action.

Four names on the Northland Vietnam Veterans Memorial are still considered missing in action.
