Nearly 10K attend Duluth’s Fourth Fest, ‘memorable’ plans in works for 2020

DULUTH,MN– Bayfront Festival Park officials estimate nearly 10,000 people attended Thursday’s Fourth Fest celebration for music, the fireworks display, and more.

While that number didn’t break any 4th of July records, Jeff Stark, Bayfront’s director, said they are anticipating a much larger crowd in 2020, when the holiday falls on a Saturday.

He added that there will be special plans in the works in order to make Fourth Fest 2020 “memorable.”

Spotty showers and thunderstorms persisted throughout the day, but seemed to wrap up just a couple of hours before the fireworks began at around 10:10 p.m.
