DULUTH, MN – Friday night’s snow fall lead to several crashes and spinouts in Downtown Duluth.

Just before 11 p.m., two Duluth Transit Authority buses appeared to have lost control along North 3rd Avenue East between1st and 2nd Streets.

Both came to a stop almost perpendicular to the road. They didn’t appear to have suffered any damage.

Duluth Police said they responded to multiple crashes on 21st Avenue East between London Road and Superior Street. In a tweet they asked people to avoid the area.

Another crash involving several vehicles including a Mayo Ambulance happened shortly before midnight along Lake Avenue between Superior Street and 1st Street.

There was no immediate word if anyone was hurt.

This was the second time in a week a Mayo ambulance was involved in a crash.

On Wednesday, Duluth Police said an ambulance traveling on Central Entrance with lights and siren was struck by a vehicle that ran a stop sign.
