DULUTH, MN– It’s still early in the season, but Duluth businesses are hoping you think local this holiday.

A group of businesses kicked off the shopping season early with the 6th annual Woodland Block Party Thursday night.

The event features businesses on Woodland Avenue, along with pop up shops from local vendors and artists.

Organizers say hundreds of people stopped by the party, which gets better every year.

“This is a wonderful event that helps kick off the holiday shopping season and it’s also a great way to promote ‘shop local’ with the local community,” said Stacey LaCoursiere with LaCoursiere & Co.

Saffron and Grey Couture Floral hosted the event.
