Douglas Co. man indicted for robbery, gun crimes

DOUGLAS COUNTY, WI — A Maple man has been indicted for allegedly robbing a Cenex gas station in Brule, Wisconsin.

Patrick Staton, 29, has been charged with robbery, as well as a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition.

Documents show Staton allegedly possesed a .45 caliber revolver, a rifle, a 9mm handgun, and ammunition for both the revolver and handgun.

Court documents state the crimes allegedly happened at the end of August and early September.

If Staton is convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 20 years for the robbery charge, and a maximum of 10 years for the firearm and ammunition charges.
