‘History of Duluth’s Performing Arts’ mural unveiled Friday

DULUTH, MN– The NorShor Theatre is looking a little brighter on the inside.

The City of Duluth and the Duluth Public Arts Commission (DPAC) unveiled the ‘History of Duluth’s Performing Arts’ mural Friday morning inside the third floor skywalk at the NorShor Theatre after the installation process began on October 16.

The mural, created by Susan Martinsen, was selected as the finalist from a request for proposals made by the DPAC in 2018, and is made of 16 pieces of 8’x4′ pieces of plywood.

The goal of creating and displaying the artwork came from the DPAC’s mission to foster arts development and sharing the history of theater and the arts in Duluth.
