Former US Representative Sean Duffy joins CNN as contributor

MADISON, WI –  Former Congressman Sean Duffy may no longer hold a government title, but he’s still in the spotlight.

CNN has hired the longtime Wisconsin 7th District Representative as a contributor and commentator for the network.

State of the Nation Host Jake Tapper introduced Duffy as a paid contributor on Sunday.

The 48-year-old stepped down last month ahead of the arrival of their ninth child who was born with a heart condition.

Duffy was first elected to the seat in 2011.

A special primary will be held next February to replace Duffy with an election set for next May.
