375 pound pumpkin delivered to Lake Superior Zoo

DULUTH, MN– A giant pumpkin was brought in to the Lake Superior Zoo Wednesday morning in preparation for ‘Boo at the Zoo’.

The pumpkin was provided by local gardener Danny Tanner, and weighed in at 375 pounds!

It’s all part of the annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’, which begins this Saturday.

Visitors can take photos with the pumpkin during the event on October 12th and 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There will also be other pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for sale.

A portion of the proceeds from these sales will benefit Bat Conservation International’s research efforts and education programs.
