Man arrested after lengthy search in West Duluth

Duluth, MN — A man is behind bars after allegedly threatening his family with a knife and leading police on a search in West Duluth.

It all started in a home on the 4800 Block of West 6th Street around 7:30 Tuesday night.

Police tell us a 20-year-old man threatened his family with a knife and then left the house with a rifle.

Officers responded and led a lengthy search along Grand Avenue where he was last seen.

Police say the man eventually returned to the home while the search was still happening. That’s where he was later arrested.

No one was hurt. There’s no word yet on possible charges.
