Hibbing crash leaves driver with life-threatening injuries

HIBBING, MN– A crash Thursday morning left one driver with life threatening injuries.

According to State Patrol Officials, a Ford Escape was crossing Highway 169 westbound on E. 31st St when a Ford Taurus travelling south on Highway 169 hit the Escape’s passenger side.

The 71-year old male driver of the Taurus suffered life-threatening injuries and was brought to a Hibbing hospital.

The 85-year old driver of the Escape suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say both parties were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Exact conditions of both drivers are unknown at this time.
