Police investigating fatal shooting in West Duluth

DULUTH, MN – Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a 33-year-old man dead.

Police responded to the 300 block of 62nd Avenue West, located in the Cody neighborhood, to a report of sounds of shots fired just before 2 a.m.

When police arrived, they found a 33-year-old man inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to his midsection.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“Investigators were immediately called to the scene. This is an active and ongoing investigation,” police said Sunday morning.
