ELIZABETHTON, TN (WKOW) — A Cessna Citation business jet rolled off the end of a runway Thursday afternoon while landing at Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Tennessee.

Racecar driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., his wife and child, along with two pilots and the family dog were aboard, according to Carter County Sheriff Dexter Lunceford.

Earnhardt Jr. was taken to Johnson City Medical Center where he was conscious and talking.

There were no serious injuries, just cuts and abrasions, according to the sheriff.

The FAA said the Cessna Citation rolled off the end of Runway 24 and caught fire after landing at Elizabethton Municipal Airport in Tennessee at 3:40 p.m. Thursday.
