Rotary Club of Duluth hosts duck pluck

DULUTH, MN– 5,000 rubber ducks were dropped into the water at Pier B Resort Thursday night.

13 of those lucky ducks were plucked to win thousands in cash prizes.

The duck drop is the results of months of duck adoptions throughout the Twin Ports by Duluth Rotary Club members and sponsors.

The event benefits the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Northland’s mental health access program, a program supporting youth and their families

“I think it just solidifies the fact of the importance of this mental health access for kids in our community, and we’re just happy to be part of the jumping-off and getting this started,” said Michelle Buria with Rotary Club of Duluth.

The rotary club successfully raised its goal of $25,000 Thursday night.
