Madeline Island Fire Hall design approved Tuesday

TOWN OF LA POINTE, WI – The Town of La Pointe, Wis., has approved designs for a new Madeline Island Fire Hall.

The Town of La Pointe Administrator says on Tuesday community members were given a presentation about the latest conceptual drawing for the new fire hall, and they voted unanimously to move forward with the design.

Then right after, the town board also voted to approve it.

The administrator says the cost is going to be somewhere around $2.2 million.

The architecture firm working on this design also designed the new Superior Fire Hall, and the fire hall in Cloquet.
