DULUTH, MN- Duluth City Clerk Chelsea Helmer expects that this year’s primary election brought in average turnout.

On average 12 to 16 percent of  registered voters in Duluth show up to primaries.

Usually precinct 11 has the highest turnout in the primaries.

City Clerk Chelsea Helmer would like to see more people turn to the ballots in November.

“I will be happy with the turnout when every eligible voter in the city of Duluth exercises their right to vote. There are only three races on the ballot and of course, city-wide, there are only two races on the ballot. I would love to see Duluth citizens break that trend from municipal primary and keep pushing those numbers up,” Helmer said.
