Local college holds event for kids in honor of Apollo 11 mission

SUPERIOR, WI- The University of Wisconsin Superior’s transportation and Logistics Research center held an educational event to celebrate the famous mission.

The event for kids pre-kindergarten  through 5th grade included a variety of space themed events including observatory tours, rocket demonstrations, and spaced-themed arts and crafts.

If you missed the festivities today it’s not too late. Tonight from 10 to 12 at the UWS observatory there will be the chance to view Jupiter, Saturn and the moon in the night sky.
