SUPERIOR, WI — Congressman Sean Duffy visited Superior on Monday to give closure to the family of a World War II veteran.

Aaron Jacobson, who was from Maple, Wisconsin, was one of many veterans who had their records destroyed in a series of fires in the 1970s.

It took many years of putting the pieces together, but on Monday, the Distinguished Service Cross award was awarded to Jacobson’s nephew.

Jacobson received this award after fighting for our freedom, something Duffy says he was proud to help make happen.
