St. Luke’s names new president, CEO

DULUTH, MN– St. Luke’s health care system has named its new president and CEO.

Kevin Nokels will replace former president and CEO John Strange starting August 12. Strange retired in February.

According to the hospital, Nokels currently serves as President of CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center- Bergan Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Long Prairie, Minnesota native will help shepherd the hospital through a 10-year, $300 million expansion project.

Nokels was chosen during a nationwide search, and was one of seven people who interviewed with the board’s search committee.
