DULUTH, MN– The man accused of stabbing his wife to death in Duluth’s Chester Park neighborhood Sunday sobbed in court Wednesday morning as he was formally charged with second degree murder.
A St. Louis County judge set Ryan Jazdzewski’s bail at $750,000 and ordered the 40-year-old to have no contact with his children.
According to court documents, around 8:23 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a home near East 8th St. and 16th Ave. E. on Chester Park Drive.
According to police, they received a report of a 7-year-old girl screaming in an alley that her parents were fighting. Officers arrived and heard screaming coming from inside the home. A child walked out followed by a man with blood on his clothes.
When police entered the home they found what officers call a “horrific scene,” 41-year-old Nicole Jazdzewski had been stabbed several times and was unresponsive.
The victim later died at the hospital. She had stab wounds to her torso.
Ryan Jazdzewski will be back in court July 1.
The couple had been married since 2010, according to records.
