Vehicle shot by pellet gun in Cloquet, juvenile recovering from minor injuries

CLOQUET, MN — A juvenile is recovering from minor injuries after a vehicle was shot with a pellet gun in Cloquet last night.

According to Cloquet police, it happened near Brevator Road and Big Lake Road around 9:30 p.m Thursday night.

Authorities say the victim was a passenger in an SUV that was headed south on Brevator Road.

That’s when another vehicle, heading toward them, shot two windows out of the vehicle.

The suspects fled the scene reportedly in a red or maroon Chevy sedan, possibly an Impala, according to police.

Police say the victim’s injuries appear to be from broken glass, not a from the pellet gun.

Police believe this was not a random act, and say there is no threat to the public.
