Greater Downtown Council’s Coffee Break returns Thursday

DULUTH, MN– If you are looking to have some coffee while supporting a good cause, an annual event is returning to downtown Duluth.

The Greater Downtown Council is kicking off their series of coffee breaks over the next several months.

The first series will be held Thursday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Lake Place Park in Duluth.

Greater Downtown President Kristi Stokes says it’s a great way to get together at a downtown park while Superior Street Reconstruction project is in full force.

All the proceeds from the event will go toward the Lakewalk restoration, along with the Historic Arts and Theatre District (HART).

This month, Starbucks will provide the coffee and the Greenery will be providing treats.

The event is open to the public and a $5 donation is suggested.

To access the event, enter from Superior Street across from the NorShor Theatre or via the Lakewalk.

If you can’t attend Thursday’s event, future coffee breaks will be every third Thursday of June, July and August.
