Community forum to be held Wednesday on marijuana and mental health

EVELETH, MN– Community members are invited to a meeting on how using marijuana and your mental health are linked.

The forum, presented by the St. Louis County Public Health and Human Services, will discuss the risks of using recreational marijuana versus the benefits of medical marijuana and how it can affect an individual’s mental health.

Marijuana and Mental Health Community Solutions will include presenters from Leafline Labs, a medical cannibis provider and presenters from Lakeview Behavioral Health and Arrowhead Center.

A panel discussion featuring a police officer, probation officer, Drug Court attorney, and social worker will also take place to answer any questions and give feedback.

The forum will be held Wednesday April 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Eveleth Auditorium. A resource fair and dinner will begin at 4 p.m. with the presentation and panel discussion beginning at 4:30.

The event is free and open to the public.
