SUPERIOR, WI — Tuesday,  Wisconsin Lieutenant. Governor Mandela and State Representative Nick Milroy visited the Lake Superior Research Institute.

The LSRI is part of UW-Superior, and conducts environmental research and provides services that benefit the people industries and natural resources of the Midwest.

Barnes says it’s important to understand these topics so Wisconsin can be a leader.

Water issues, not just here in Wisconsin, but across the globe, this is another opportunity where Wisconsin can lead.

That’s why it’s important for us to invest in the UW system so this type of research can continue to grow in Superior and elsewhere in Wisconsin.

Governor Tony Ever’s budget includes 150 million dollars for the UW system.
