KBJR 6’s “Beyond the Headlines” earns first place Eric Sevareid award

BLOOMINGTON, MN – KBJR 6 was honored Saturday night with an Eric Sevareid award in the Talk/Public Affairs category.

The first place award was given to KBJR for its Sunday public affairs program “Beyond the Headlines with Dan Wolfe“.

The particular show, which aired May 6, 2018, featured a recap of the Husky Refinery explosion along with interviews with public officials.

The award was handed out during the Midwest Journalism Conference in Bloomington, Minnesota.

The Eric Sevareid awards are named for the late CBS News journalist Eric Sevareid who was born in North Dakota.

Beyond the Headlines, hosted by KBJR 6 news anchor Dan Wolfe, airs Sunday mornings at 9 on KBJR 6.
