Three ways to donate to the March Minnesota food drive

DULUTH, MN — March isn’t all basketball and shamrocks – it is also a time do donate to the March Minnesota Foodshare.

The March Minnesota FoodShare, which is the largest food drive in the state, helps restock over 300 food shelves in Minnesota, including the Duluth Salvation Army.

Food and money given to the Duluth Salvation Army’s food shelf in March is proportionally matched thanks to Minnesota Foodshare’s March Campaign.

This year, officials hope to raise $18,000 and 11,000 lbs. of food. As of Monday, they are at $3,910.00 and 5,039 lbs. of food

Last year, the Duluth Salvation Army food shelf and hot lunch programs provided 81,581 meals to those in need.

There are several ways in which you can donate, below are the following options:

– Donate online at their website.

– Mail in donations to 215 South 27th Ave. West, Duluth, MN 55806.

– Credit card donations by phone at 218-722-7934

Monetary gifts give food shelves more flexibility to purchase perishable items like meat, dairy, and fresh produce.
