2 assaulted, hospitalized following Duluth robbery

DULUTH, MN — Police are investigating an early morning robbery in Duluth’s Lincoln Park neighborhood during which two people were assaulted.

Authorities were called to the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Few details are known at this time, however police say two people were assaulted and hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. They were later released from the hospital.

At this time, police say no one is in custody, and an investigation is ongoing.

An update is expected to be given either in the late morning or early afternoon Thursday.

Police say no other details will be shared Wednesday in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
