DULUTH, MN– St. Luke’s held a meeting to discuss their new expansion project with the public Wednesday.
Officials in charge of the project showed plans for the expansion and explained why it was beneficial to patient care.
The public brought up concerns about the project, namely regarding the new location of their helo-pad.
The Medical Director for St. Lukes, Nick Van Deelen says, “How can we quickly and efficiently get our patients into that department and get them to the place where they can be treated most effectively. That is how we ended up with the helo-stop where it is.”
Besides the noise, those in the neighborhood said property value was a concern as well.
