Duluth church celebrates St. Nicholas Day

A few little ones brought holiday spirit to Duluth streets today.

The youth of Twelve Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church offered warm socks, cocoa, and cookies to pedestrians on 2nd street today.

It was all part of St. Nicholas Day, which commemorates the saint whom Santa Claus was named after.

Organizers say it’s a nice way to open up to one another during the holiday season.

This was the first year the Duluth church has done something like this on St. Nicholas Day.
