Minnesota’s next Attorney General stopped in Duluth Tuesday

Duluth, MN – Minnesota Attorney General-Elect Keith Ellison stopped in Duluth for a statewide listening tour.
Keith Ellison brought his statewide listening tour to the Duluth Labor Temple, where the public was invited to attend and speak with the attorney general-elect.
Before taking office next month, Ellison wants to hear from people all over the state.
He says being there helps him know the priorities of those living in Northern Minnesota.
“When you go from place to place you learn a lot about your state. You learn two things: One, is that the state is very diverse. And you also learn that individual people care about the same thing. Everybody loves their kids, everybody wants to retire, everybody wants to earn fair pay, everybody wants clean water. So you learn about the differences and the similarities,” Keith Ellison said.
Gun control, civil liberties and environmental protections were all big topics of discussion at Tuesday night’s listening session.
