ST. PAUL, MN — Minnesotans are answering a call of help from Florida as the state prepares for Hurricane Dorian.

Governor Tim Walz authorized the response, the Minnesota All Hazards Incident Management Team, on Friday.

The team will deploy to Florida Sunday, and will be there through September 15.

The 13 team members include people from Itasca County and the Brainerd Fire Department.

Florida asked for help with response and recovery efforts.
