Britt woman injured after going airborne in crash

BRITT, MN — A 65-year-old Britt woman is recovering from what authorities say are non-life threatening injuries after going airborne in a crash Thursday afternoon.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was driving on the 7200 block of Britt Bypass Road in rural Britt around 2 p.m.

When they arrived, they found the vehicle had crossed the center line and traveled down a ditch, hit an embankment, and then went airborne before hitting a tree.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to a Virginia hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
