New mental health group begins Wednesday in Virginia

VIRGINIA, MN — A new resource on the Iron Range will help people struggling with mental health issues.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Connection group will meet for the first time Wednesday.

According to the Mesabi Daily Press, the group’s goal is to use education to help kids and adults in the rural area.

The free meetings will be led by trained individuals who are also in recovery.

The meetings will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Project Care Free Clinic in Virginia.

Attendees are not required to pre-register.
